We've just completed the first stage of Fairground Frameworks, a programme of work that supported work by artists inspired by the fun of the fair, including Simon Jones, Madlab, Kevin Hunt and Ross Dalziel.
We worked with Liverpool Biennial, Everton Kite Festival, FACT and TATE Liverpool to show new iterations of interactive crazy golf and Simon Jones 'Resonator' a bespoke bouncy castle augmented into a haptic low frequency sound installation
We are looking forward to a continuing tour with FON Festival, Liverpool Psych Fest and more to be confirmed
SoundNetwork want to support playful spaces for artists to make new work; experiment, prototype and then sustainably tour and build on systems that support their practice and show their work to diverse publics.
For the future Fairground Frameworks will be running a bouncy castle hackday, supporting the marine science research project Currently and some fascinating R&D by artist and kite enthusiast Zachary De Santos into kite flying systems for generating music/interaction control data.
